Irene Gómez-Calado


Graduated in choir conducting from Conservatory of Music "Manuel Castillo" in Seville (Spain) and Conservatory of Music Boulogne-Billancourt in Paris, currently she completes her Master Degree in the Choir Department at the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne.

Currently based in Paris where she is assistant conductor in the Orchestre Philharmonique des Grands Écoles de Paris, she develops an assistantship program with Maestro Enrique Mazzola in the Orchestre National d´Île de France. She has performed in many different concerts throughout Latin America, Europe and Japan. She has also had the opportunity to conduct the Atlantic Coast Orchestra in Portugal, the Brasov Symphonic Orchestra in Romania, the Sevilla Chamber Orchestra in Spain and the Orchestra des Grands Ècoles de Paris in France, among others. She also had the opportunity to study with Maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Academy Chigiana di Siena, with Colin Metters, Aurélien Azan Zielinski, Roberto Benzi and Paavo Järvi, among others.
